Pandan Naan Bread: A Fragrant Gem Worth Rediscovering. ✨
Some recipes deserve a second chance — and this needs to be publisehd albeit overdue on our side
Dive back into some of our favourite recipes that never got their moment in the spotlight. We’re starting with a flavour that defined many home kitchens during the lockdowns: PANDAN into Pandan Naan Bread.
Introducing the PANDAN-naaaan (rediscover recipes made earlier) —a delicious term our team coined to describe the wave of fragrant, comforting Pandan creations we all turned to. It’s no wonder this aromatic ingredient became a lockdown staple and it is still a FAVOURITE hence it is call the : "Vanilla of Asia".
So here's a special revival for our Melbourne friends and Pandan lovers everywhere: not just any naan, but our soft, fragrant, and warmly spiced Pandan Naan — golden, pillowy, and impossibly moreish.
Because yes, even Candy here is a huge Pandan fan! 😉
"SPELT PANDAN NAAN BREAD"
What’s your comfort food? For me it’s as simple as bread/ flat bread/ pasta - just anything carbs really These Pandan Naan Bread is one of them!! They are super easy to make: no yeast no rise no baking, and pair perfectly with curry/ stews/ dips, or even just by themselves because the fragrant flavour from Pandan Powder is just too good I also added some unflavoured protein powder to boost the protein and drizzled on top some Hemp oil @royalhemp_au to keep them moist and add some healthy fats I also sprinkled on some yummy kale chips @puresnack for an extra crunch & flavour - Candy, Nourish & Flourish, SydneyPandan Naan Bread

Malaysian HK Fusion — Where Pandan Meets Naan, a Taste Worth Waiting For.
Method:
Combine all the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl, then stir in the hot water until well incorporated.
Knead with your hands a few times until a soft dough forms.
Divide the dough into 4 round balls (or 8 smaller ones, as I did) and flatten each into a flatbread shape, dusting with a little extra flour if needed.
Cook on a non-stick pan with a little oil until golden and cooked through on both sides. Enjoy!
